"And right now there is nothing more important than preserving marriage."I wonder if this applies as well to unmarried heterosexual couples. But, regardless, someone really needs to explain to me how providing health insurance, pension rights, etc, to unmarried couples threatens marriage -- or how depriving unmarried couples of those benefits preserves it.
